ACC was awarded this prestigious new grain store with associated Grain Pits and Silo’s as well as 5000M2 of drainage & concrete yards. This project had major civils works in the ground with pits up to 6 meters deep that encountered running sand and poor ground conditions. The project was opened for harvest 2009 by Alex Salmond

1.7 Million Contract consisting of Offices / Warehouse & Simulator building. The project was built for the Knight Property Group and the build had a high degree of M&E services for the 2no Simulators for Helicopter Training.

The base build without fit out was completed in 20 weeks with a further 8 weeks for simulator specialist works which was all completed on schedule and to a high quality standard.

Schlumberger Mechanics

A new warehouse and office block for Schlumberger due to relocating from their Westhill operations. The project was circa 600K which provided our client with a new Mechanics workshop with associated offices. Built within the 23 week programme and handed over on schedule.

A new Office / Warehouse facility with associated site works circa £750K was built in 17 weeks from start to finish. The standard of finish was high with a delighted client which is very satisfactory to all at Andrew Cowie Construction Ltd.

SWIRE

The project consisted of 10000m2 of new concrete yard / drainage and a new drying room for their spray painting facility at a value of approx £600K. The complexity on this project was down to Swire carrying out live lifting operations in the close proximity of our workers. A detailed Health & Safety plan as well as forward planning was key to all operations.

Schlumberger Calibration

A new Testing Facility and Office accommodation for Schlumberger along with 3000m2 of new yard area. The complexity of the £500K project was down to the live working environment of Schlumberger operations which meant close working relationships with the client and forward planning to allow critical task operation to be carried out.

Stagecoach Bus Depot – Insch Business Park
Principal Contractor

Designed and Built by ACC against the backdrop of Bennachie in the developing town of Insch. This environmentally themed depot benefits from ground source heating for its office accommodation and a rainwater harvesting system for its bus washing activities. Opened by the minister of Transport for Scotland Stewart Stevenson.

Knight Property Group – PSL Badentoy Portlethen

This three storey office and warehouse alongside an extensive yard were completed to the standard and specification of a blue chip client, Knight Property Group. A strict programme was met and allowed access for much needed office, workshop and yard space for PSL Energy Services in their continued expansion.

Knight Property Group - Coates Principal Contractor

A two storey office and warehouse complex alongside a 10,000m2 yard at Kirkhill Business Park. Completed to a high specification this project was handed over five weeks early to a delighted Landlord Knight Property Group. Early completion allowed Coates access to the extensive yard for their plant and equipment.

Designed and Built by ACC. This challenging and difficult refurbishment involved upgrading a live and very busy workshop. Thirteen new pits and associated services were installed over a 12 month period. Working alongside the client and keeping to a strict programme was key to a very successful project.

Knight Property Group - McCartney Howemoss

Situated on 1.91 acre site in Kirkhill industrial estate this two storey office and warehouse complex was completed on schedule to a high standard of workmanship. With key dates and programmes met, McArtney were able to take immediate occupation of their purpose built facility

This extensive facility was completed on time to the satisfaction of the client for whom quality and timescales were a key factor in their requirements. With a floor area of over 5000m2 ACC used a laser screed flood pour technique to meet the restricted programme. Major earthworks were required to screen the development for planning purposes.

Tesco Stores—Barr
Concrete & Civils

Awarded the concrete packages on various stores from Wick to Glasgow. Sales floor areas up to 3000m2 were completed in one day on these fast track contracts. With tight programmes ACC used fibre reinforced concrete in some areas to better deadlines, therefore giving early handover to other trades.

Dieago Distillery Roseisle - Rok
Concrete & Civils

Awarded the civils and concrete package on this prestigious new distillery development in morayshire. From foundations and bases to walls and floors ACC poured some 7000m3 of concrete on this project alongside some very challenging formwork and rebar designs. Over 400m3 of concrete was poured in one day for the chimney bases.

Union Plaza- SMC Aberdeen

This challenging city centre development consisted of seven upper floors and two underground car parks. ACC was awarded the concrete substructure and floors package where the underground foundations and floors works were done prior to steel erection. Large scale concrete pours were done to meet critical dates.

Mansell Aberdeen - Bon Accord Centre
Concrete & Civils

Situated in the heart of Aberdeen and an addition to the existing Bon Accord Centre. This complex development involved ACC constructing all the underground concrete walls and floors to the upper retail floors and new car parking areas. Tight deadlines and a very restricted site were factors in the success of this project.
